Looking for love!

Unfamiliar to what love was,
An empty feeling floating inside,
Searching in dreary abusive places,
Stealing my worth,
Breaking my pride!
Unaware of what true love should be,
Giving my body and heart away,
For a fleeting flutter my soul chases,
Choosing to ignore the evil before me,
Scarred heart just wanting someone to stay.
How can you know if you never knew?
Feeling so good can be bad,
Just wanting love that lasts and is true,
Taking it where I can was wrong,
Just so sad!
