Loss Sense

Loss Sense

written by: Bernadette O’Reilly

I remember as a child watching Nana
Pull her hair into a bun
As she sat on the bed
Not a strand out of place
In the mirror she could not see her face
She knew our footfall before we spoke
Is the sun shining she would ask
She loved to pray and sing
There were many things she could do
When God chose to take her sight
I loved her and still do
