Lost... So Lost

“Michigan cherries are
sweet, yet tart,”
said the man with
golden eyes.

…cherry wine imbibed
from green bottle
crisp and tasty
the color of life…

“Come drowse on
Michigan sand
while I softly flute,”
he cajoled.

…she lay and listened
he softly fluted
sand and nebulous sky
oddly seductive…

“An occulted sky
over silver water;
time has ceased,”
he whispered.

…gone her blue scarf
abandoned bicycle
willing captive of
the golden-eyed man…
