Love

I hold nights in my hand
As i sway to the morning songs of sparrows
My eyes, heavy with void
Stare blankly into your heart
And see the hope breathing its last
You see
Of all the prayers i have chanted
Hoping had the best result
Until today
When i saw you smile
And my world turned like sunflowers
I carry moon inside my chest
Shining in the lonely oblivion my heart has become
Until today
When your lips formed my name
As if it was neon color
Smeared along the mirror walls
Shining
Almost guiding me towards you
I fall in your arms
Like a ragdoll
My bones succumbing to their weight
Chant one last time
The verses of the void
Till they crumble into dust
And you see me disappearing
I glimmer like stars
As the nights drip from my body
And these orphaned stories nudge your heart
Waiting to be listened
You father them
Help them grow
Till they bloom
Like glass roses kept in earthern pots
I am the skipped heartbeat
You keep searching inside the chambers of your heart
I fall like fairydust
Until you kiss me
And i fly away like dandelion seeds with the winds
Today as you sit under the oak tree
With my hopeful stories
You read between the lines
And realise
“I was always yours to keep”
