My Muse

My Muse

tales of fervidness ring
church bells echo love
crimson clover twig bends
to highlands freezing winter winds

sliding near you, my love
flowers petals tumbling
as our warming winter bodies
meet in the middle with our teasing lips

snow falls as hope
draping the stirring muse
licking soft my stinging tears
for those enduring many loveless years
