No Such Thing As Perfect

No Such Thing As Perfect

written by: Sharona Reeves

When there is a death wish as soon as you wake
The direction may be clear but you are unaware of the path to take
Time is spent dreaming of ways to brighten the days
The need isn’t money, fame, or gifts
When the only wish is to live a day with no shame and to be greeted with the grace of a warm embrace
Stop for a moment and consider all the possibilities.
A beacon of hope is found in a moment of acceptance.
Imagine, no more roaming to find home
Hopeless gaps filled with light
After countless measures, everything finally came together.
Of course, there may be sorrow behind the smile.
Sometimes tears sneak across the dimpled cheek in lieu of memories, missing treasure – lost keepsakes.
We must remember to disregard the reactions of others when intentions are distorted in the midst of bitterness-bred perceptions.
Remember, we can’t waste time agonizing over decisions from a past no longer in existence and striving for nonexistent perfection.
