Ode to My Pillow

Ode to My Pillow

written by: Bitupan Das

My dear pillow,
You are the wings
Of my dreams,
Ear of my screams,
Boat in floods,
Umbrella in rains,
Eyes of pain,
Star in the night,
Dog in sleep,
Archive of my life history,
My nocturnal biography.
Dear my pillow,
You’re my lover’s love,
You’re the land of my sudden volcano of love,
You’re my tight hug,
Body of my desires.
You’re my partner in crime,
You’re my unconditional love,
You’re my lips of a sudden smile,
My silent kiss.
You’re my secret conversation
Of sleepless nights.
Dear pillow,
You’re my only partner
After my death.
