Old Photographs of You

Old Photographs of You

written by: Norj Joseph

I abhor looking at your photos taken from years back
When you left in haste and covered your tracks
Frustrations grow and the blues reappear
When I see your old photos year after year

I dislike looking at your photos taken from years ago
When I saw you kissing him on a stone patio
“He owns you, you are his queen”
Oh, I always wonder, what could’ve been

I still hate looking at your old photographs
Very heartbreaking, yes, your old snapshots
I pray as your old photos fade
So are my feelings, too, I’m afraid
