On Missing National Bad Poetry Day on the 18th of August
written by: Ian Richardson
Lo, the dimméd sun does rise on tardy mind,
To waken poesy afresh,
As mayhap it does somewhere else – like Bangladesh.
To miss the appointed day means naught to me,
the nonconformist.
My offering instead I give today,
The nineteenth of August.
