Once

Once upon a tender time
when life was sweet
and you were mine
when days were long
and nights sublime
our love grew strong
we knew no wrong
we lived as if in Camelot
Then came the time
when doubt crept in
cracks appeared
the painting peeled
serenity no longer reigned
the fairytale ceased to exist
love turned to dust and disappeared
once upon a Camelot
NOTE:
Camelot is a castle and court associated with the legendary King Arthur.
Camelot first appeared in 12th-century French romances.

Why write?
I write because I am:
Driven to distraction by the inequities of the society in which we live.
Motivated by cruelty, abuse, ignorance and indifference.
My intention: To poke, prod and provoke!
"Moderation is a fatal thing. Nothing succeeds like excess." - Oscar Wilde
