Quantum Ken

Quantum Ken

written by: Jim Murdoch

My friend Ken is both
real and imaginary
at the same time.

Inside my head
he’s illusive,
outside, elusive

and I often struggle to visualise
what Real Len’s life might be like.
I know there’s a cat and a brolly.

Trouble is, Imaginary Ken has a
cat and a brolly too, although
probably a different cat and brolly.

Also, it doesn’t help when both Kens
harp on about past and possible Kens
and the Kens they wish they’d been.

That said, I wouldn’t
buy a used car
from any of them.

Shifty eyes.
