Redemption

Redemption

written by: Win Cadman

“Blood banks are goldmines”,
said my nocturnal friend.
It gets harder to feed in this life with no end.
It’s desperate I know, cowardice maybe,
but what is there to do for a vampire like me?

I’ve developed a conscience for killing them all,
now I drink from donations
…is this sweet redemption’s call?

I’m a music educator of cello and piano, and orchestra and rock band director at school. A firm believer that modern day living leaves us emotionally detached from ourselves and others, I am constantly pursuing every emotion with the sole purpose of experiencing the feeling. I also believe this is not my first life, but it is my last.
