Regret

Regret

written by: Papia Ray

I thought of you as I turned a page. I missed you when my favourite author died.
And you were not there to share
The steaming cup of coffee that stood by my side.
You were far away and a flash of something sometime stopped me from reaching out to you.
The moment I thought had gone,
But it came charging back and I could do nothing but rue.
Did you do that too? I mean, regret the moment that created a chasm between you and me—-.
Those words which seem so useless now
Had the cutting edge to slice our hearts in two and make us aliens for eternity.

I enjoy reading and writing. It is only recently that I have found that online reading and writing can also be equally interesting. I have self published a book, The Second Spring.
