want to live another day?
a few more days?
maybe weeks and months?
and of course all the years
finally forgive forever and say so long

like the rose’s blush
or a fragrance’ taste so sweet
you try to hold your breath
dry their colors still they fade
their memory just a fuzzy eye

when the last petal falls
does it ever hit the ground?
in that moment letting go
captured like a smile
all there is, is time
