Sublime girl on the bus
Will I ever know your name
If you changed your start time
Would my morning be the same
Do I get my tie straight
When I’m coming to your stop
Can I catch your eye today
And show you what I’ve got
If you don’t get on the bus
Then what am I to do
Will you miss your morning fix
As much as I’ll miss you
Please don’t keep me waiting
You can’t forget my face
I’ll see you when you’re ready

Chris Elgy lives in Leeds. Poetry has always interested him as it is the shortest form to express the emotions within. The beauty is in its form and relative simplicity. Anything can be used. Sometimes only a few lines are sufficient to get across what you want to say. The subject or meaning of a poem can vary along with the style, it can take hours or minutes, there is no right or wrong way of writing one. This is the purest form of writing.
