Silent Hell

Silent Hell

written by: Sharil Miller

Listen to the silence
It has so much to say

There must be some meaning
In the words you do not say

I strain to hear the message
It should be crystal clear

I fail to find the reason
Did I choose to turn a deaf ear

There’s a blind spot in my heart
Which prevents me to see

The behavior and the treatment
You’ve shown in reality

I wish I could hear you when you’re quiet
The silence is so deafening

It’s alarming how loudly the silence screams
With absolutely no warning

If only you would speak the words
And say what’s on your mind

Maybe I would find some peace
In this silent hell of mine
