thoughts are heard
Footsteps follow
shadows lurk
Broken roads
carry my load
Streets of stone
cracked with pain
Stained in anger
paved with angst
Grime and soot
unwashed by tears
Doubt and fear
hasten my fate
Cobbled path
unsteady gait
A silent voice …
