There is a holy universe of book bags
and dirty little hands reaching in them.
But each day the hands become fewer
the books become lighter
the bags become withered
the universe becomes weightless.
the holy becomes kindled and it needs sleep.
Tristan Cody is one of those jazz type poets who spend their days with their thumbs in the air, looking for all America has to offer. Actually, he lives in Northern California with a fiancé, a dog, three cats and a snake. However, it is almost the same thing.
