The Joy of Christmas
written by: JOHN BAVERSTOCK
A chance meeting,
Brought out that festive greeting,
Not seen each other for years,
Reduced the pair to tears,
Watching them embrace,
The joy written all over their face,
Their hands wrapped around each other,
Like a sister finding her long lost brother,
I can’t believe it he said, his shock was for all to see,
They could well have been friends, or even family,
Never the less they were both reunited,
For which they were both obviously delighted,
An innocent onlooker was wiping a tear from her cheek,
Quipped, what a perfect start to a near Christmas Week!
