The Mirror

The Mirror

written by: Boris Arsovski

Bloodshot pupils of the weary soul.
A hazy gaze into the silver glass.
Seeking to glimpse its face, concealed
Behind the bars of the imprisoned mind.

Moisture seeps from the tomb’s own womb,
Born in the torn and blinded eyes.
A tear spills over the golden frame,
While in the pure depths… its echo resounds.

From it, a groan tears through the sky,
The silver drinks it like a cold sweat.
Fallen onto a sacrificial clot,
Touched by pale, translucent hands.

Wept-out tears from the sinful abyss,
Washed away with the holy blood… Repentant,
The face recovered its missing wholeness.
The mirror was Christ.
