The Onomatopoeia of a Life Eclipsed by Dementia
written by: Jane Bradshaw
CRACK!
Can you see it – The invisible fault line inching its way closer…
DRIP!
Can you feel the tears – Building up behind the dam walls…
POOF!
Are they disappearing – A lifetime of memories erasing…
OUCH!
How did that happen – Another fall and more bruises appear…
SHUFFLE!
How do they work – Feet, arms, hands, eyes, ears…
MUMBLE!
What is that word – A thing, a a a, I don’t know…
TINKLE!
The sound is there – The angels harp calling me home…
