The Physics of Love

The Physics of Love

written by: John Drudge

How strange
Are those times
Imagining a linear river
Revealing itself
Under a fine scrutiny
Of quantum inquiry
A lattice of possibility
Each moment not a bead
On a string
But a universe twitching
In a muddle of potential
Remembering
The scent of hawthorn
On a forgotten path
Where belief is not born
Of proof
But of need
A need to inhabit meaning
And our love
A delicate disturbance
In the certainty of atoms
A rhythm
Less exacting than hope
Collapsing waveforms
Into chandeliers
Of lost afternoons
And the brush
Of smooth elegance
