Some Broken Dreams Never Die

Dare to dream, some said!
Dream big and achieve it, others said!
Dreams make life worth living, they all said!
But how to deal with broken dreams, no one said!
Some dreams break when you wake up.
Some dreams remain a fantasy.
Some dreams, you don’t even remember.
The one that I am talking about is,
That dream which has become a part of you…
That dream which grows with you…
That dream which stays with you…
That dream which has not been achieved…
That dream which has been broken…
That dream which is not yet dead…
The dream which I saw as a child,
It was broken down the lane…
There’s a tear when I think of it,
Because that broken dream never died!
The dream which I saw later on,
It was broken by circumstances…
There’s a tear when I think of it,
Because that broken dream also never died!
The dream which I saw recently,
I tried my best to make it true.
Was it never meant to be anything beyond a dream!
Or was it too big to be MY dream!
But it has become a part of me.
And refuses to go away from me.
I know for sure, this broken dream will never die!
I tried my best to find a burial place,
To bury all such broken dreams.
But there’s no fire hot enough to burn it.
There’s no earth strong enough to hold it.
It pops up with ease whenever it wants to,
Because these are broken dreams that will never die!
Dare to dream, some still say!
Dream big and achieve it, others still say!
Dreams make life worth living, they all still say!
But how to deal with broken dreams, no one still says!
