For R.A.

For R.A.

If the door from the wind creaks
Oh, how my soul for you it craves
If a dry branch in the garden stirs
the agony comes in waves

A stranger’s footstep on the street
You are not coming, it’s so late
In vain all the heartbeat
still in the darkness I wait

The night is cold and dim
tears my candle dripping
on the floor playing a moonbeam
Poor body, yearning is whipping

Desperation holds me tight
I know you won’t appear
not only for tonight
but forever is my fear
