There, She Is…

There, She Is…

‘Sky has eaten the moon’
said my toddler;
we were out shopping
on chilly autumn eve;
‘It’s playing hide and seek!’
‘Peek a boo!’
She squealed
with her gaze skyward.

Behind the slender branches,
as blushing bride
who’s just opened her veil,
the resplendent moon appeared
in the foggy night
casting a spell
as she emerged
silently through the clouds.
‘There she is…’
