Progress,
Moving ahead,
One foot in front of another
through consistent effort.
Promotions at work
New levels, new responsibilities.
Awake, aware,
Outgoing.
Connecting with others.
Moving ahead,
Continually eager to embrace
new opportunities and challenges in the world.
Backward
Regress,
Falling behind,
Watching others as they outdistance
you despite your efforts.
Demoted in your career,
Less responsibility, another step back
Exhausted, fuzzy,
Withdrawn into yourself.
Pulling back from others.
Standing still,
unable to achieve what you really
want in life.
How is it possible to live both lives at the exact same time?
