When You Place Your Little Hand on My Chest!

written by: Christina Lawrence

When you place your little hand on my chest
The touch of those precious little fingers warms this wretched heart in a way nothing else can
It’s a moment of zillion stars healing my innumerable pain,
A moment that banishes dense layers of darkness am engulfed with,
A moment that crashes me with humongous waves of love and runs through the deserted, denied and detached veins of my heart,
A moment that gives meaning to the life that was questioned, tagged, humiliated, self-doubted, and buried itself that no human eye had ever beheld,
A moment that took all my loneliness and despair
A moment that gave me courage to face anything in this world
A moment that gives me the calmness of a delightful sea
A moment that holds the beauty of this entire universe
A moment when hundreds of tulips burst into bloom at once
A moment that is closest to heaven
A moment when the world fades to silence, your tiny heartbeat becomes the only song I hear…
In that moment, I felt a love as boundless as the unfathomable sky.
A moment that is enough for a thousand years…
A touch that melts my heart for the rest of my life with the love my heart always longed for…
