Where are the Words

Where are the Words

At times you believe there are no words
Utterances to stave off the ills of our world
But they are there
Clamoring in a cue inside of twisted synapses in your consciousness
Gathering in procession to form a meaningful sentence
Most times they trigger an action
A long embrace
A torrent of tears
But words they are there
Longing to be birthed and heard
For you the listener
Like a tonal elixir
To lull and comfort
Buffering the beat of wars booted March
Sometimes you think all utterances should be staved
spare the weak and infirm from the Hubris of humankind
Though the promises are betrayed by the collaboration within your sullen eyes
And furrowed brow
Your trembling hands
Truth will be told in conformation codes and symbiotic sympathies
recipients will hear by the witness
Will know in shouted whispers
Knowledge will break free
Knots will come loose
With the fraying resistive force
Of truth
In the words
With their variants
Within their interconnections
Sometimes you think there are no words
Be assured they are thriving
Words are omnipresent
Constant companions
Affluent affliction for affiliations
Words cannot leave you
