Winter’s Dawn

Winter’s dawn
on Autumn’s fall
Mid-December
harkens all
Flora and fauna
heed the call
Time to snuggle
rest and dream
Pure and clean
awakening breath
Tingling cheeks
made apple red
Colorless gray
embues the skies
Advent of
the snow to fly
Winter’s pleasures
nature’s gift
Beauty born of
winter’s dawn

Why write?
I write because I am:
Driven to distraction by the inequities of the society in which we live.
Motivated by cruelty, abuse, ignorance and indifference.
My intention: To poke, prod and provoke!
"Moderation is a fatal thing. Nothing succeeds like excess." - Oscar Wilde
