Kuwait Fire

Kuwait Fire

written by: Dr. K. K. Matthew

Some 49 persons, mostly Indians, were
Killed in a major Kuwaiti six-story fire;
Yare workers toiling in the desert bringing up
Their destitute families—so heartbreaking
Because these families lost all hope.
They are drowning in sadness
They’re suffocating; despair so large,
Miseries must win over affectionate people
Hearts of millions—humanity should arrive
All together, with a terrific attitude
These poor, vulnerable folks are not left out
And keep them close to several chests.
