Whispers in The Night

written by: Alisa Guttadauro

Do you hear the whispers on Halloween night?
It’s enough to make you shiver, enough to give you fright,
The feeling someone’s watching you, with every step you take,
Is that enormous spider-real, or is it fake?
Do you hear the whispers on Halloween night?
The crunching leaves behind me, I look-and no one’s in sight,
The darkness is illuminated by Jack-O’-lanterns a-glow,
Was that a werewolf that howled? I don’t want to know!
The gleeful cackling of a wicked witch, echoes in the dark,
Oh, why did we choose this shortcut through the cemetery park!
Do you hear the whispers on Halloween night?
Vampire bats are screeching- ready to bite.
Get out your flashlights, get ready to run,
it’s time to trick or treat, the spooky fun has just begun!
