Words
written by: James Walmsley
If I had words the world could see,
what perfect beings we all could be.
All the badness through the days,
at our feet the suffering lays.
Sadness comes in the dead of night,
remembered scenes of Satan’s bite.
Played in tableau mankind’s plight,
laid out before us is evil’s spite.
As the sunlight caresses the dawn,
a new day for all is but born.
But for some the sun will not shine,
so many taken before their time.
We have no wand that we can wave,
there is no magic that can save.
All there is, is you and me,
and our words to help people see.
If I had words the world could see,
what a world this could be,
And if these words I could share,
all the people might just care.
