Peace at a Molecular Level

The atoms in me, send greetings of Peace
to the locked atoms in you,
that make you as you are
and me as I am.

These thoughts, that encapsulate
each moment of our existence,
of how we came to be,
seek to vibrate, resonate,
and sync with the neurons,
flooded with neurotransmitters,
lighting in synaptic bursts of energy,
of atoms dancing in harmony,
within lattices that frame us,
so that our thoughts jive
in joyous synchronicity.

When we sleep united
as dust, inert, the atoms
will still dance around,
vibrate in passive polyhedral particles,
blown by the wind, as specks
that lie on furniture as dust,
none will recognize that this dirt
once wrote poetry, danced, sang songs,
enjoyed bird songs, and scents
of flowers, and fruits,
did all that the living do,
like raising children made in love,
and living in love for love.

The atoms in me greet,
the atoms in you,
someday, we will meet
in love the animator
of dust, who makes it love
and do things, great and small,
gives it a singular purpose, and choice
in each moment, to come together
and chose to love, or not to love,
we will see, the garlands of love
we made by transforming hatred,
prejudices, biases, bigotry, and pride,
into love, in perfumed moments of good.
We painted joy, in a drab world
of selfish desires, greed,
with generosity, charity, and kindness.

Oh soul of souls, the soul within me
greets, the soul that is unconditional Love,
with peace,
for you are goodness, mercy, and compassion.
In the inertness of existence
I have learned love in the inexistence
of love, in a world that knows much
and creates much, but cannot create love,
for survival supernates selfishness,
hatred rises from fear,
and sets the mind at war,
with all whom it sees as enemies,
it is in mines of daily struggles
that we seek, and mine nuggets
of love, remembering your world
which you lovingly made in love for love.
