My Creed

My Creed

written by: Carlos Valle

Let me live today
For tomorrow I may die
Let not thoughts of death
Come and taint a single breath
Choose the roads you take
Be the master of your fate
Remember always
Do not walk when you can fly
Do not talk when you can sing
And praise the sunrise
Upon awakening each day
To joust again with destiny,
Shun the darkness, seek the light
Be not a creature of the night
And when you join eternity
It will not be, as a beggar
But as a king
