A Photo’s Lie

A Photo’s Lie

written by: Rineyl Bayrs

It’s been two years, get over it already.
Change is the essence of reality.
But how do I leave what’s left in me,
When past still haunts my imagery?

I guess time didn’t treat us fairly,
Wish you were here, it would end my misery
But instead you said “It’s done deal.”
Accept it, or you’ll get damaged, seriously.

Yet I can’t seem to grasp,
How tables can turn so quickly?
When I just saw a photo of
How once you looked at me.
