Half a Man

Half a Man

written by: Yll Brahimi

Half lost, half happy,
Lonely but never alone.
My fears are with me;
They’re the thoughts that I don’t own.

Half here, my heart is there,
To a place where flowers bloom,
While I’m stuck in this nightmare,
Praying for the sun to rise soon.

Half dead, half alive,
Never felt love, joy, or harmony.
Half a life, enough to survive,
Until my soul is set free.

My soul is the shoe I shaped for you,
For the people who want to see,
Half hidden, half true.
It fits everyone but me.

Half luck, with half a plan,
Half confident, half real,
Never whole, just half a man.
Some wounds only time can heal.
