POETS ARE PUPPETS OF MOODS

POETS ARE PUPPETS OF MOODS

written by: K. RADHAKRISHNAN

It swings and then leaps,
Soaring so high, it touches the peaks,
Suddenly it plunges to hit rock bottom,
To handle it is a real problem.

Mercurial fluctuations in a single day,
Changes suddenly from violet to gray,
Leaping from the hideous low lands of despair,
It takes a brief break to flirt in Mayfair!!

It ebbs and flows like a tidal wave,
Aided by my bi-polar mind, I am its slave,
Just a momentary rivalry and rave,
Next moment it shows me my grave.

At times melancholic and morose,
Then it is feisty and fierce,
But it remains always passionate,
Even when I face many problems in spates.

I paint my words as my mood commands,
About mirth or misery as my mood demands,
My moods are in motion, never under remands,
Poets are puppets of mood, just understand.
