will you nibble my ear
and say “you’ve nothing to fear:
my love for you is gorm
and that is 2021’s new norm.
So release your heart to be free
like rolling waves upon the sea,
let our love spill all around
and like lava cover all nearby ground.
Spill with a thrill your words forth,
spill rich luxurious words,
spill words singing like a lark
so angels above will cry “Hark!”
For if you don’t expire gambling with love
you will dry and sere on a brambled glove.
So spill your words set to thrill
and put our hearts high on a hill!”
Born and raised in Massachusetts, Linda Marie Hilton moved to NYC in her early 20's and resided there over a decade. She studied oboe, dreaming of becoming an orchestral musician, starved, studied accounting and became an accountant, starved. She moved out west, starved and became a poet. She is the author of "Words of a Feather Hawked Together" and “Swans of the Boundary Waters.”
