To Get Over You

i look at you and laugh,
you look at me and wink,
every time you’re around,
i suddenly can’t think
every time we talk,
all i do is smile,
you know me better than anyone,
yet i’ve only known you for awhile
i finally got the courage,
i told you how i feel,
but all you did was laugh,
like my feelings weren’t real
you’re the closest thing to perfect,
that i’ve ever seen,
you never lie to me,
even if it’s mean
it’s ok if you don’t like me,
it’s amazing if you do,
but either way, i know,
it’ll take a lot to get over you
I’m 15 and ever since I was 12 I’ve loved using poetry as an outlet to express my feelings and emotions. Robert Frost is my favorite poet and he’s who made me really get into poetry. I would love nothing more than for others to read my poems and for once feel like their life has meaning and someone understands.
