Just Friends
written by: Kaylee
we’re just friends you say,
as you kiss my lips,
one hand on my face,
one hand on my hip
how do i tell you,
that you’re breaking my heart,
we’re just friends you say,
yet we can’t stay apart
you talk about your dream girl,
and everything she’d be,
and i can’t help but wonder,
why it isn’t me
i’m there all the time,
especially when things get tough,
yet every time you think of me,
i’m never enough
i’d wait for you if i had to,
i’d wait a million years,
i’ll lie about my feelings,
just to keep you here

I’m 15 and ever since I was 12 I’ve loved using poetry as an outlet to express my feelings and emotions. Robert Frost is my favorite poet and he’s who made me really get into poetry. I would love nothing more than for others to read my poems and for once feel like their life has meaning and someone understands.
