Adolesce, a poem by Andrew Minhinnick at Spillwords.com

Adolesce

Adolesce

written by: Andrew Minhinnick

as you tend nurtured fields
walking
a body of veins
winds round the world
those dreams sink like lime
each colour manufactured
as winter’s words change meaning
threads tease
the inside a child’s mind
any identity
a false simulacrum
with human thirst
driven
by nature’s hunger
