Perseverance has landed

that makes you happy

NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:

Illustration description: A dusty, pale rust sky and hilly, terra cotta terrain. A blurry, pale sun peeks below the upper edge of the image and to the left of center. Below this, the Perseverance rover. It smiles an open-mouthed cartoon smile as it gestures around with its camera “hand”, eye looking outward as if to new adventures. Upward and to the right of this, Ingenuity, the Mars helicopter, hovering in midair and wearing a similar expression to Perseverance. Both seem happy to begin exploring.

I am mostly a visual artist, but I like to create "found poetry", specifically daily haiku made from the statuses of my Facebook friends. It was my Mom who started this, and officially passed the responsibility onto me when she became too busy.
