All Hallows Eve

a rusty noose
creaking…

haunting O’clock
unclad skeleton
on the swing

the orange pumpkin’s
evil grin

dark imaginings
fairies and witches
begin wilding

gory frogs
in a witch boiler

the horn man
tailing the night
appears with a fork

a red tongue
ready to feast

nowhere to run
look out Xristy
two dwarves

x-rays
in the dark room
waddle and amble

a watchman opens
the gate to strangeness
dark festival

***

Hallowe’en

dark travellers
delight the witches

…ravens circle
the spooky
tower

trick-or-treating
night of the hollow

the witchity
feline
on the broom

racing heartbeats
the headless horseman
gallops faster…

the chill of being
shadowed

bat infested sky
the witching begins
in unholy terrain

the haunted
house

unlidded eyes…
a band of elves
stirs magic potions

the sorcerer
casts spells

a whistling
ghost
seeding nightmares

steals
the soul

a black cat
carries a lantern
walks on two feet

Halloween
Night
