Branch Off

Branch Off

written by: Mickey Mason

there is a tree with heads
inside my head
the faces are faded but there,

sometimes I feel its branches and boughs whispering hums in my ear

saying they were me
saying they are me
singing me advice and no-no(s)

but I don’t listen to them often
cause quite sure I am not them

I’ve got my own growing to grow
