Broken Trust

Broken Trust

written by: Maria Dulce Leitão Reis

Emotions are important
they are what generate feelings.
The absence of emotion is apathy,
react, run away from it, leads to illness.
Some feelings
shatter at the slightest touch.
One of them is trust.
Once broken, it is difficult to restore.
There is always a shard
that comes apart,
often so tiny
that it becomes imperceptible,
but enough
not to create a perfect union.

When it comes to feelings,
tact, diplomacy and sensitivity are needed.
Those who hurt or offend others
often do not realize it,
precisely because their arrogance
and over-convincement
do not let them see how wrong they are.

The offender
always has the flag of reason hoisted.
He thinks that the offended one,
was offended for nothing
because friends can say anything.
Friends cannot do or say everything.
Friends must redouble their tact,
this comes from wisdom and savoir-faire,
grounded in sensitivity.
Sensitivity
cannot be bought in branded stores!
