Christmas Meditation

Christmas in July
Countdown to Christmas
A prelude to the season
Defined by legend and song

Yuletide logs
Warming hearths
While cookies and milk
Fill children’s hearts

On each Christmas morning
After Santa’s midnight ride
After reindeer travel skyward
And land on every roof

The happiness of Christmas
Remains in every soul
To carry on forever
In bountiful delight

As Santa and his reindeer
Recite a favorite tale
Merry Christmas to all
And to all a good night
