to claim a morning
to forget our worries, our yesterdays
soak in the moment, stay in the present
if we want, we can take a whole day
lose track of time
disconnect from the rest of the world,
focus on ours
to share this beautiful memory in silence
the only necessity, coffee
nothing more, nothing less
we could add a few more ingredients
warm laughter and playful kisses
fulfilling our hearts
while we melt in the sheets
body to body, soul to soul
giving into what we desire most
even if it’s just for the moment
or we flow naturally into tomorrow
more has been gained than lost
with a simple gesture, coffee in bed
