Conversations with Myself

Conversations with myself

I don’t get personal with people
I ramble
About small things
Things I love at the moment
My little obsessions
But personal?
That’s another story
A story I’m not willing
To publish into anyone’s ears
I have a twisted mind
A dark sense of humor
Intellectually entwined.
I believe we should all be naked
While having this talk
But that’s another story
I don’t want to ever
Apologize for my thoughts
Or my way of being
Therefore, I keep that private
I keep that mine
No one knows me
They only know bits and pieces
And at the end of the day
I’m happy like that
Because I will always remain
A mystery
A wonder
A curiosity
And that thought will then fade
And I will be left to myself
Just as I love it
This is just the way I’ve always been
And this is exactly who I am
Without apology
Free
(She says, as she lights a cigarette and giggles while looking at the moon).
