Dreams And Realities

written by: John Preston Writings

In the dreaming depths of reality did
we somehow cross over
To the point where we could not
be brought back?

In the dreams we wanted,
in the realities which are
It’s where two worlds mix into one.

Like a fantasy gone wrong,
where the mind sings its own song,
To the point where we could not
be brought back.

In the dreams we wanted,
In the realities which are
It’s where two worlds mix into one.

A place of drifting thought or did I drift
before the thought became a thought
In what I thought to be good to the point
where we could not be brought back

In the dreams we wanted,
In the realities which are
It’s where two worlds mix into one.

Totally consumed, submerged and defined
In a world I thought could be mine
Yet in that world, I could not dine.

In the dreams we wanted,
In the realities which are
It’s where two worlds mix into one.

In the dreaming depths of reality did
we somehow cross over
To the point where we could not
be brought back?
