Elusive Moments of Serendipity

I’d secretly held within myself a desire,
Shared not with the world what I did aspire
Little applause more cynosure humans know
So I kept my wishes to myself and hopes low
One day I chanced upon a golden duck
And I thought finally smiled my lady luck
With the jackpot lottery ticket in my hand
Looked like someone waved a magic wand
Prize money could buy me a ticket to my place of dreams
My mind was overwhelmed, eyes full of gleams
It was undoubtedly my moment of serendipity
If only I was not woken up by the alarm clock’s stupidity
I am a resident of Noida in UP. I work in an IT company as a Director in Portfolio Governance Division. My key interests are travelling especially to the mountains, music and writing. I am an avid writer and my columns have been published in national as well as international dailies. I belong to Bihar/Jharkhand but am settled in Noida for last 20 years with a couple of stints in the UK for a couple of years.
